Agriculture is undergoing a profound transformation: artificial intelligence, sensor technology, blockchain and data analytics are entering production processes and the everyday decisions of businesses in the sector. Responding to this shift calls for a new professional profile, one that combines technical expertise with managerial vision.
The training programme combined theory, practical exercises and mentoring, enabling participants to explore key topics in depth through case studies and interactive exercises. Those who took part developed their own final project, putting their skills to the test with a hands-on case study. Feedback was positive, with particular appreciation for the clarity and precision of the training delivered.
At the end of the programme, a field study visit brought trainers and participants together to experience deep tech and agriculture 4.0 concepts first-hand. The study visit marks a milestone, not an end point: training on these advanced technologies will continue in autumn with new activities.
This programme is part of AGRITECH, an initiative bringing together research institutions, universities and businesses from five European countries to introduce deep tech into agricultural education and close key skills gaps in the sector.
