A debate with LAND Impresa Sociale and Promimpresa on the new climate challenges facing Sicily
In recent years, Sicily has been severely tested by extreme weather events and forest fires. Responding to these challenges requires not only courage, but also up-to-date skills, technological innovation and strong collaboration between communities and experts.
Given the increasingly evident impacts of climate change, how can we build more resilient communities? LAND Impresa sociale and Promimpresa invite you to a meeting dedicated to learning more about the European ENSURE project.

Why participate
The meeting will be a moment to discuss among institutions, experts and professionals in civil protection, environmental safety, fire and flood prevention, and land management experts. We will share our doubts, challenges and strategies to deal with extreme weather events and forest fires that have affected Sicily in recent years.
We will also present the first findings of the Alliance for Innovation project, ENSURE Emergency Responders Upskilling System for Enhanced Resilience and Innovation, which promotes the upskilling of search and rescue teams and support professionals through innovative training methodologies, digital tools and community-led participatory practices.
What we will focus on
- Open debate: Panel discussion on concerns, strategies, and best practices for emergency management.
- The ENSURE project: Presentation of the first findings from the Alliance for Innovation research. We will explore how innovative training methodologies, digital tools, and participatory practices can enhance the skills of rescue teams.
- Networking: Next, reception to deepen knowledge and create synergies among professionals in the sector.
