Would you like to experiment with sewing and give a new life to textile materials that might otherwise be discarded? Bring your creativity to Sip & Sew, a creative workshop organised by LAND Impresa Sociale in collaboration with Sartoria Sociale, as part of the European project Green New Home.
Join us for an afternoon dedicated to creativity, sewing and experimentation, where you will work with recycled textile materials and transform them into something new, original and uniquely yours.

Why a creative workshop as part of a project on sustainable entrepreneurship?
Giving materials a second life, reducing waste and making the most of what already exists are some of the key principles of the circular economy. Even a simple piece of fabric can become a resource for creating something new through creativity, practical skills and the ability to imagine new uses.
With Green New Home, we want to explore these connections: how practical skills, creativity and digital tools can open new possibilities in the field of sustainable entrepreneurship, turning personal ideas and skills into new opportunities.
During the event, we will introduce Green New Home and its tools for promoting environmentally sustainable business practices and new entrepreneurial opportunities, with a particular focus on people with a migrant background and people experiencing disadvantage.
What you’ll do
After the project presentation, together with Sartoria Sociale, you will have the opportunity to:
- discover different sewing and textile decoration techniques
- experiment with patches made from recycled textile materials
- customise your patches using different sewing techniques
- combine colours, shapes, fabrics and details to create something unique
- turn your ideas into your own small textile creation
- take home your creation.
There will be no fixed model to follow: you decide what to create and how to personalise it. It is an opportunity to experiment, learn new skills and discover how reusing materials can become a starting point for creativity and, why not, new entrepreneurial ideas.
And, of course, there will be something to drink! Each participant will receive a drink and have access to refreshments throughout the event.
Participation is free and no previous sewing experience is required: just bring your curiosity and your willingness to experiment!
