The global food system, with its strong dependence on livestock farming, is a major cause of environmental destruction and greenhouse gas emissions. The transition to plant-based diets is crucial to mitigate these impacts, free up agricultural land, and protect biodiversity. Despite the European Union’s agricultural policies aiming for sustainability, livestock farming continues to enjoy advantages, hindering the necessary transformation of the agri-food sector. However, the growing demand for plant-based foods and the EU’s promotion of plant-based diets offer hope for a more sustainable future.
In this context, Com4AgriPlant aims to contribute to climate change mitigation by increasing the production and consumption of plant-based foods, all while developing an innovative learning methodology and tools using comics for adults.

The workshop is organized within the Erasmus+ Com4AgriPlant project.
All the materials, available in the website in all partners languages, are free and can be used as awareness and educational tools by students, trainers, educators, farmers, activists, NGOS, sector professionals and consumers, wanting to incorporate plant-based alternatives, whether producing or buying, in the farming sector.
Com4AgriPlant, funded by the Erasmus+ programme, is running from January 2023 to June 2025, in collaboration with GEOSS Educational Centre (Slovenia), Agricultural Institute of Slovenia (Slovenia), Land Impresa Sociale (Italy), Euracademy Association (Greece), The Critical (Lithuania) and Associación Caminos (Spain).
