Tourism and digital skills: free training for small and medium-sized companies

Professions are evolving, and local communities are being called upon to tackle the challenges of the twin transitions (ecological and digital).

Developing the right skills is essential for seizing the opportunities presented by change and promoting innovation, inclusive employment and local development.

In this context, TRANSFORM—a European initiative that supports small and medium-sized enterprises and workers through practical tools, training programs, and dedicated resources—facilitates professional development initiatives to strengthen regions’ ability to respond sustainably to ongoing transformations.

If you work in the tourism industry and would like access to resources and tools to promote your business, improve your use of digital channels, or enhance your professional skills, we invite you to the new TRANSFORM Infoday, organized in collaboration with CESIE ETS.

The event is specifically aimed at micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises, as well as local professionals, who wish to better understand how to navigate the dual transition by leveraging digital skills, online communication, and the growth opportunities offered by new European tools.

This Infoday offers a concrete opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of the tools, resources, and pathways that can support the transformation of the workforce and businesses, with a focus on the needs of local communities and the challenges posed by the dual transition.

With TRANSFORM, you’ll be able to explore new opportunities for growth, strengthen your skills, and gain access to useful tools that will help you tackle current and future challenges with greater confidence.

It will be a day of discussion and hands-on learning, designed to help you to:

  • enhance your digital skills
  • gain a better understanding of the strategic use of social media
  • learn about self-assessment and career guidance tools
  • identify personalised development pathways
  • discover new opportunities offered by TRANSFORM to tackle the twin transition.

Our plan

  • an in-depth session on digital skills and the use of social media, with practical examples and workshop activities tailored to local contexts
  • introduction of the Smart Skills Intelligence Portal, the TRANSFORM platform that will offer resources, tools and training opportunities to support workers and businesses in developing the skills required by the twin transition (registration for the Italian-language version of the platform opens on 15 May).

TRANSFORM is a project funded by the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme. Its objective is to enhance the skills of workers and micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) active in sectors that are strategic for the dual ecological and digital transition: energy, agri-food and tourism. The project also aims to consolidate collaboration between public and private actors, promoting co-creation processes with the aim of making training courses increasingly consistent with the real needs of the labour market.
