A day outdoors with LAND, Woodvivors and Ferrino, featuring excursions, flavours of nature and an open dialogue on materials for sustainable outdoor activities
Would you like to know how to reduce our impact on nature? Join us for a day dedicated to sustainable hiking and the principles of Leave No Trace!
Walk with us, share an outdoor lunch and join a sustainable cooking workshop. We will close with a round table with Ferrino to explore the topic of outdoor materials and sustainable choices when outfitting us for our adventures.

ABOUT US
LAND: Non-profit social enterprise dedicated to environmental promotion and education.
Woodvivors: social promotion association that offers excursions and immersive outdoor activities with an educational and practical approach.
Ferrino: company for outdoor gear and technical materials, promoting sustainable practices and more responsible hiking.
WHAT WE WILL DO TOGETHER
Educational hike
We will walk together for about 7 km (difficulty E) on a route suitable for everybody, to discover how to reduce our impact on nature and enjoy the outdoors in a more mindful way.
Lunch and workshop
We will share an outdoor lunch and join a sustainable cooking workshop to try out simple, low-impact solutions in practice.
Practice Lab
We will explore how to select a suitable location for pitching a tent, set it up correctly, and maintain the equipment, thereby reducing the impact on the environment and extending its lifespan.
Round table
We will end the day with a talk by Ferrino about outdoor materials and sustainable choices for our adventures.
AGENDA
09:00 – Welcome and introduction: welcome breakfast, presentation of LAND and Woodvivors staff, objectives for the day and safety rules.
09:30 – Opening and presentations: brief talk on the projects, introduction to the concepts of environmental impact.
10:30 – 13:00 Educational excursion (7 km, difficulty E):
* Stop 1: Leave No Trace principles
* Stop 2: Environmental education and identification of tracks, sounds and invisible impacts.
1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Lunch break and sustainable cooking workshop: collective preparation of a low-impact meal, waste and water management techniques.
3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Practical workshop with Ferrino: talk about outdoor materials, tent assembly, backpack adjustment, equipment maintenance.
5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Final round and closing: feedback and shared views.
EQUIPMENT
No trekking experience is required, but we recommend you have the following with you:
- Small backpack (10–20 L), comfortable and with adjustable shoulder straps
- Tried and tested hiking or trail running shoes ( no new shoes on the hiking day)
- Technical socks or thin woollen socks (to prevent skin blisters)
- Comfortable, layered clothing (T-shirt, mid-layer, jacket)
- Waterproof/windproof jacket or poncho in case of rain
- Sun hat and sun cream
For the lunch and workshop
- Water bottle with at least 1 litre of water
- Reusable cup, plate and cutlery (no disposable items)
- Small towel, sit pad or k-way to sit on the ground (optional)
