Objectives
● Promote the lifelong learning dimension of higher education through a program on green mobility, aiming to promote learning on environmental sustainability.
● Help in supporting institutions of the formal educational sector, such as universities, in taking a lifelong learning perspective.
● Develop knowledge, skills, and attitudes that promote ways to think, plan and act with empathy, responsibility, and care for the environment.
● Promote responsible action and stimulate willingness to take or demand action at a local, national and global level.
● Enable learners to overcome the cognitive dissonance that comes from knowing about an issue but lacking the agency to act.
● Disseminate the implementation of the EU Green Deal.
Actions
● Development of GREENMOBILITY Learner’s Handbook Manual
● Setup of a GREENMOBILITY Collaborative Online Platform
● Conduct a Research Report for the GREENMOBILITY Self-Assessment Tool
● Design of the Learning Modules for the GREENMOBILITY Self-Assessment Tool
● Design of an online course on GREENMOBILITY Self-Assessment tool
● Training for the Greenmobility Self-assessment Toolkit with Higher Education institutions.
● 2 training in each partner country, training people on the concept of sustainable urban mobility and its benefits in the quality of life in cities and to the fight against climate change.
Impact
● 16 higher institutions, 60 Environmental organizations and NGOs that work on the areas related to green mobility, fight against climate change, and the protection of the environment; and 60 local and public entities and organizations working on areas related to mobility informed about the project and its resources.
● 50 participants involved in the GREENMOBILITY Self-assessment toolkit.
● 50 participants to the general workshops of sustainable urban mobility.
● A higher degree in participants degree of positive change, choosing alternative green options of mobility, and adopting sustainable mobility in their life.
